Tone matters

Machine translation is very good at everyday conversation, but a joke or a pet name can come out strangely. When a message really matters, glance at the original, and don't be afraid to ask what the other person meant.

Private conversations

Nobody can message you until you have accepted the connection, and messages are encrypted in transit and when stored. Oralingo is not end-to-end encrypted, because the translation happens on our servers. The FAQ explains exactly what that means.
